Electric ray by flurdy is an IT consultancy, known as eray for short.

Ivar Abrahamsen and Hans Solgaard started eray in 1998 in Manchester. Initially to develop web sites for friends and associates as a hobby. Since 2001 it has been the self employed business of Ivar Abrahamsen.

eray is not a limited company. Contracts are arranged via an umbrella company or when appropriate as an employee.



About Ivar

Ivar is a Software Engineer / Architect / Developer / Consultant / Agile coach. Ivar's main technical skill is within Java®, and he has worked mostly within telecom and bank & finance sectors, for multi-national enterprises and small startups.

He graduated in 1997 with a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Manchester. Since then he has worked in Manchester (8 years), Oslo (5 years) and London. Ivar currently lives in Alton in Hampshire in the UK.

Ivar is also known as flurdy, the person behind flurdy.com, where he is actively involved in Open Source development. Quite a few guides and tips for OSS based software, agile project methods, etc., have also been written by Ivar.
